This Privacy Policy describes how Artiva ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application ("App").

Information We Collect

Contacts Information

Artiva requests access to your device's contacts. We only access this information with your explicit permission to allow you to:

  • Import contacts into the app for client management
  • Select contacts when creating projects or invoices

By default, contact data remains locally on your device. If you enable cloud synchronization (available with a paid subscription), your contacts will be securely stored on our cloud servers to enable access across your devices.

Company Information

Information you enter about your company (including name, logo, contact details, branding colors, etc.) is stored locally on your device. If you enable cloud synchronization through a paid subscription, this information will be securely transmitted to our cloud servers to maintain consistency across your devices.

Project and Invoice Data

All data related to your projects, invoices, and other business activities is stored locally on your device by default. When you enable cloud synchronization (available with a subscription), this data is securely transmitted to and stored on our cloud servers, allowing you to access your business information from any device. You can also manually share individual invoices or reports at any time through export features.

Cloud Synchronization (Optional Feature)

Artiva is built as an offline-first application that works fully without internet connectivity. Cloud synchronization is an optional feature available to users with paid subscriptions.

How Cloud Sync Works

Cloud synchronization is disabled by default. When you subscribe to a Pro or Team plan, you gain access to optional cloud sync features that allow you to:

Cloud Data Security

Your data security is our top priority. When you use cloud synchronization:

Your Control Over Cloud Sync

Cloud Data Retention

When you disable cloud sync or cancel your subscription, your cloud data will be retained for 30 days to allow for reactivation. After 30 days, your data will be permanently deleted from our servers. You can request immediate deletion by contacting our support team at any time.

Analytics & App Improvement

We use analytics to understand how the app is used and improve the experience.

PostHog Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage data about how you use the Artiva mobile app. This helps us understand which features are most valuable and identify areas for improvement.

What Data Is Collected

  • App feature usage (which screens and features you use)
  • App performance metrics (loading times, errors)
  • Device information (device type, OS version)
  • General usage patterns (session duration, frequency)

What We Don't Collect

  • Your contact data (names, phone numbers, emails)
  • Your business data (invoices, projects, financial information)
  • Personally identifiable information
  • Data that can identify you or your clients

All analytics data is anonymized and aggregated. We cannot identify individual users from this data.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to provide the functionality of the App:

Data Storage and Security

Artiva is designed as an offline-first application. By default, all data is stored locally on your device, and the app works fully without internet connectivity. Users who subscribe to our Pro or Team plans can optionally enable cloud synchronization to access their data across multiple devices. When cloud sync is enabled, your data is securely transmitted to and stored on our encrypted cloud servers. The security of your data depends on both your device's security measures and, when sync is enabled, our cloud infrastructure security protocols.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data in the Artiva app.

Access Your Data

All your business data is stored locally on your device. You can access it anytime through the app or by viewing your device's local storage.

Export Your Data

You can export your invoices, reports, and business data at any time through the app's export features.

Delete Your Data

You can delete your data by: (1) Deleting items within the app, (2) Deleting your account (see Delete Account page), or (3) Uninstalling the app to remove all local data.
